On every stream there's info every viewer should see: chat rules, a current promo, the schedule, a Discord link. The problem is new viewers arrive constantly and miss what you said 20 minutes ago. The solution is a pinned message on screen.
A stream is a flowing format. What's said by voice is heard only by those online at that moment. Newcomers who arrive later are left without context. On-screen text works differently: it's always in view, seen by everyone regardless of when they joined.
Most useful: chat behavior rules, a community link (Discord, Telegram), a current goal or promo, the schedule of upcoming streams, or a call to follow. Don't cram everything in — pick one or two key messages and change them as needed.
Visibility matters, but without being intrusive. A contrasting accent color, an icon, a clear font. If the text is long, let it scroll smoothly to fit. Place the bar where it doesn't cover anything important — usually top or bottom of the screen.
A pinned message is a simple HTML widget for OBS (Browser Source). Enter the text in the settings and it works. Optionally change the text live with a chat command via TikFinity for TikTok or StreamElements for Twitch and YouTube.
A pinned message is a simple way to get the key info across to every viewer. A ready widget in our brand style with TikTok, Twitch and YouTube support is in our streamer shop.
